Step #3 What I've done here is show 2 steps. The other is explained on the next page. The front of the wolf is the first undercoating. This is a fairly easy step. I just look at the wolf and decide where I'm going to want the color. Then, with a smaller brush, a #6 Flat (or a little bigger if you want.) I start putting down brush strokes. Don't bother to clean your brush between colors. Simply wipe out the excess with a paper towel or whatever you use. The muddy colors are only going to make the blending of the outer fur coat easier and look more realistic. If you're wondering about the eyes? I don't paint eyes until last. One of the eccentricities I have is I don't like my subjects looking at me while I'm working on them. |
