A few things I've done as an artist.
  • 23 solo artist exhibits across the central United States from South Dakota to Texas.
  • An invitation to exhibit my artwork in the Virgin Islands during the Rolex Regatta.
  • An invitation to exhibit at the Dubai Million Dollar art show.
  • Invitations to shows in Italy (Greece and Rome), Spain (Madrid), England (London) and Japan.
  • I have been the subject of numerous college thesis art papers from Florida to California.
  • I have been featured in many publications from national magazines to local newspapers.
  • I have pieces included in the collections of several mid-western museums.
  • I answer emails from 64 countries around the world in regards to my style and technique, always trying to help people better understand the mediums of oils and oil pastels.
Personal Information?

I became a full time artist in 1991. I took a few years off from 2002 to 2005 to be a full time stay at home father.

I didn't go to school for art. I'm self-taught in all the mediums I use, from oils and oil pastels, to pencil, pen and clay. Most recently I designed artwork for the back of a war memorial to be set at the courthouse of Charles City, Iowa.

My wife is my best friend. My son is one of the best young football centers to play the game and my daughter is a soccer fanatic who wants to learn to play basketball.

My family is heavily involved in the martial arts. I think teaching our
young how to defend themselves is one of the most responsible things
we can do as parents.

I don't assume to know everything about art. What I do know, I learned from years of experience. If you have a question about art, just ask. I'll give you the best answer I have.

Anything else about me. . . . isn't that important.
